Wheels come in all shapes and sizes. Some are highly polished metals, others are porous surface metals, some have spokes, some have fins, and some are painted.

All of them get extremely dirty, as well as extremely hot from brake use and driving. The road film and brake dust that wheels become covered with is literally baked on in layers, and very difficult to remove.

Many other carwashes have resorted to products containing Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) or Ammonium Bifluoride (ABF) to clean wheels. These chemicals are extremely dangerous to use and handle (causes cancers, even death), and extremely harsh in the way they clean, actually burning and etching the surface of the metal.

At Southland Auto Wash we never use HF or ABF. We’ve been searching and researching for safe alternatives. Southland Wheel Magic is applied through a specially designed application system to cover every wheel and tire completely. This product loosens brake dust, removes soil and film, and soaks through the worst layers of crud on not only the wheel, but the tire as well.
