Armor All is a company that made itself a household name, and helped create what is now the top selling aftermarket car care category in the world, tire and vinyl dressing products. Armor All is only one of hundreds of manufacturers who make tire and vinyl dressing products, but Armor All is the only one with real name recognition.
We have used Armor All at Southland, as well as products manufactured by many other companies, in our search for a tire dressing which meets our standards and the standards of our West Michigan customers.
The first company to build a machine to apply tire dressing automatically in a carwash was called Tire Blaze. Southland Auto Wash was one of their early customers for this machine, and we’ve kept the name Tire Blaze for our process.
Southland’s Tire Blaze has evolved over the past 10 years, with improved methods, and greatly improved product. Our affiliation with Qual Chem has allowed us to work with some of the world’s pre-eminent carwash chemists in research and development of new products, and one of the results is the product that we now use at Southland Auto Wash called Tire Blaze.
Tire Blaze is applied to the tires after the entire vehicle has been presoaked, washed, polished and rinsed, while it is in the hot air drying stage. This allows the pores of the rubber tires to have been thoroughly soaked, scrubbed, cleansed and rinsed, and the Tire Blaze product is then applied evenly over the entire sidewall surface of the tires.
The unique hot air drying system which is the last step in every Southland wash helps the Tire Blaze to absorb into the rubber to minimize any chance of product fling.
Tire Blaze is formulated with specific ingredients that provide many benefits to your tires.
First, Tire Blaze makes tires look new, after a Southland wash. The tires are deep black in color, with a slight wet look, and a very attractive gloss.
The ingredients in Tire Blaze provide protection for your tires against UV damage, and protection against the breakdown of the rubber tire over time caused by cracking or damage from oils and petroleum products found on the road.
At Southland we think that using Tire Blaze for your tires is similar to using hand cream to protect and nurture your hands.
