Water Conservation Southland Auto Wash features some of the most advanced car wash technology in the world, including cutting edge water conservation, recycling and purification systems.
We treat and re-use up to 80% of the water in each carwash, which saves as much as 3 million gallons of fresh water per year, per location!
Because of our advanced oxidation purification, high speed filtration and separation, plus our use of reverse osmosis treatment, we are able to clean far better than traditional carwashes which rely on fresh water only. We can use 3 times the volume of water for cleaning, rinsing, washing and bottom blasting as most carwashes, yet our usage of fresh water and sewer is less than 1/5 what most carwashes use.
Custom Chemistry, Safe and Gentle Southland's cleaning solutions are safe and gentle for your car, safe for our employees, and 100% biodegradable. Everything we use can be returned to the environment safely!
Our solutions are customizable, and computer controlled at each carwash for the optimum cleaning and maximum shine.
Closed Cell Foam Washing Southland uses brushes and wheels made of closed cell foam. This space age material outperforms old fashioned cloth brushes, as it does not hold dirt or water. This means that our material cannot damage painted surfaces, in fact it literally polishes the vehicle as it washes. Our regular customers have noticed for several years that their cars shine far more when washed at Southland.
Energy Efficiency Southland uses computerized controls with outputs adjustable to the fraction of an inch. We pioneered the use of variable frequency drives on our electric motors both to maximize energy conservation and to reduce our demand on the power grid.
Our hot water systems are up to 99% efficient.
We use natural lighting with skylights and glass to save unnecessary lighting, plus we use LED lighting where feasible.

CEO Mark Ellis points to an RFID tag inside a vehicle. These tags are roughly 3 inches wide, and 1/2 inch tall. They stick to the lower, driver side portion of the windshield, on the inside.
